  4. March 4, 2014 at 1:02 pm

Ponci, I am aware of a Broker that, I believe, is defrauding Fannie Mae by buying his own listings under another company name, rehabbing them and then putting them back on the market for sale, renting them or offering them for CFD through our MLS. Not only is he doing this, but 9 out of 10 times his CFD goes south, usually for something he has or has not done to the home-according to the disgruntled buyers-, the naive buyers file a lawsuit and usually lose because he is much smarter than they are about this kind of thing so can cover his tracks or they don’t have the money to file suit and they end up losing thousands of dollars. Who can I report this to, or should I even report it, or do I even HAVE anything to report, as I feel he is doing a dis-service not only to Fannie Mae and the real estate industry as a whole but also to these poor, unsuspecting buyers that end up losing the most.

    Hola TrustedLatino,
do you have videos or information on how someone gets involved in Property Preservation with the asset Managers? Are there applications for that? Or perhaps is it the REO list Agent that hires the Preservation company after they receive the listing? I am aware of many REO homes that just sit and do not get listed for some time but are being cared for? I am located in SW Florida.

How about video or information on REO to Lease program? I also own a property management company.

Thanks for the information not sure if I subscribed with the email address placed here or with gmail.

My resume is my work which is Bird Doging/BPO’s that I do 12 hour a day send me a list.

  12. July 7, 2012 at 1:59 pm

    Hello Poncie,
I am a good listing agent (broker associate) trying to get REO Listings. Together with my partner Marlene Tovar, we opened a property preservation company called: Beauties and the Beach Realtors LLC. We are doing so many BPO’s in the hopes to start getting the listings. It seems that is all monopolized. What else should we try? I am confident that we would service them better, cure them and sell them at the highest price the market will bear, in the shortest amount of time possible. If anyone actually reads this, please contact us at: BeautiesandtheBeach@hotmail.com Thank you, Elisabeth.
PS:Listing and Selling Real Estate since 1987 in new York, now in SW Florida since 2002, speak several languages (Espaniol tambien).

    Hello Poncie,

I am hoping you can give me some advise on obtaining an REO account. It has been difficult to get in the business due to the lack of REO experience. The banks or Asset Management companies require at least a one year experience in the REO field, but how can I get the exp without getting a chance. I have done BPO, and I have a Property Preservation Company which I have one account but as a contractor.

The office where I am license just received an account with Fannie Mae but of course is one agent assigned to them. I have thoughts about opening my own RE. company just to see if being the managing broker I will be able to get an account.

Please share with me your ideas I look forward in hearing from you.

    Hi, does it really work?

I have filled out several applications and they all tell me that they are not taking anyone at this time…..tell me is there still room for more agents to get into the REO wagon?

Do I need to pay for several certifications and pay memberships to platforms to even think I could ever get an REO account?

    What do you suggest??
what keeps you above the waters with so much competitions?
Please advice, I hope to hear from you.

I am that you provide such wonderful information to other agents out there. Not too many agent are willing to share helpful information.I am interested in really taking my business to the next level and am very impressed with your technique as well as your website posting skills.Do you have any advise for me as far as an advertising campaign that I can create to boost my career? Ive been in this business for 3 years and want to turn up the heat!I have the money and am ready to invest in my future, I’m just not sure who I should have host my website and how much is enough to get the ball rolling!

    • January 3, 2012 at 3:33 pm

My first recommendation is to work with an REO agent, work the buyers and learn the REO process. Second, go to REO conventions [click here]. REOCON will be giving away REO properties. Plus, go not for the classes, go to network with REO agents outside your coverage area. Network, network, network.

Hola Jesus, YES!! Realtor have access to REO. Not only brokers. When filling out application, you will use your broker’s information then enter your info. Hope this helps. TrustedLatino
