Thanks for your info. I just received the response from REO vendor from Chase after sending my resume. This is the following message from Chase:   “Thank you for your interest in doing work for Chase as a Real Estate Agent. Please call us at 1– 877– 584– 3290 between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm Central. At that time, a Chase representative will obtain your contact information in order to set up a follow-up conversation”   Once again, very appreciated with your help!   Thanks and regards,

I was contacted with several REO outsource companies from Chase:, REO World, Precision Asset Management and CoreLogic within a week. One of email contents I received from Corelogic REO Services: “Congratulations! JPMorgan Chase has identified you as a potential candidate for the CoreLogic REO Services Agent Panel. CoreLogic values each relationship with our REO Agent Panel members very highly. We are careful to keep the exact number of active agents required for each specific area. This encourages the best in class results that our clients have come to expect. We do not make a common practice of adding new agents without a specific need. There is no need to check for status on your application. We have your contact information on file and will contact you should we need anything. Your cooperation will definitely prevent any unneeded efforts on both our parts. Our vendor specialists do not have any information to this effect.”  Thanks for your sharing value information to me!!!

I just wanted to say “THANK YOU” for everything you have done for me.  You have been a huge part of my Real Estate career and a wonderful mentor.  Thanks to you, I have my 1st REO account with New Vista REO and just recently received my 1st REO property.  It took a few months of hard work and persistence*, but it paid off. Your wonderful staff even helped me with my 1st occupancy check.  I will forever be grateful.  I look forward to learning more from your guidance.

    Hi Poncie,
Do you know if you already have an agent in the brokerage that you work that is Fannie Mae vendor approved, Fannie will not approved another agent from the same brokerage?

Thank you for creating this site! It’s the best source for new and some of us old REO agents. Michael’s area is not unique. The REO brokers in Michigan are Not forthcoming with ANY information to help others. It’s incredible because there’s so much work to go around. When we go to view some properties where an agent has over 200 pending, 200 actives and God only know how many in his queue, we are positive that the asset managers have no clue on the poor oversight on some of these properties. It’s really sad. There are a lot of really good agents out here that would cherish the opportunity. I’m more than willing to share info with anyone who asks. I’m a firm believer in what comes around goes around. Smile.

    Mr. Poncie,

thank you for all of the valuable information. Can you tell me why is it so hard to get these accounts? It’s like a guarded secret amongst brokers. is there any help for minority Realtors to obtain these accounts? In my area a small percentage of the Realtors have all of the accounts.

    Sincerely Driven,

Hello Michael, it is hard to get an REO account. No doubt about it. It’s like a meat company trying to land the McDonald’s account. If the meat company succeeds, they will be set for a while. Same here. You need to make every effort to land an account. Watch my REO videos, they have alot of good REO information. Click here:
Minority? Yes, apply to New Vista REO. They are minority owned and support minority realtors. Click on REO Applications above, then click on New Vista REO and apply. If you do not have references, watch my video on “How to Get REO References”. Hope this helps amigo. Keep in mind, God blesses efforts. ~Poncie

        Hi Poncie,

I kind of getting frustrated with applying to be an REO agent, bec. the banks are asking for reference as an REO agent, how could I become one if no one is willing to give me a shot? I feel like you need to know someone inside inorder to get listing. I have sold many REO’s but have no listing yet, I applied to so many lenders and paid some money and went to the conference, but to no avail. What can you suggest I do? thanks, Poncie. I am just really

        • February 17, 2012 at 5:54 pm

Hi Adora, keep trying. God bless efforts. With all due respect, do you get frustrated with showing buyers houses? Or with trying to get a seller to list with you? I find it odd that agents will spend months showing houses to one buyer, then the buyer changes their minds. Leaving you with nothing. Or agents chasing short sales, lasting 6 months on the transaction, to finally close the deal with no satisfaction. Listen, you need to put the same effort into chasing these banks. REOs are here and they are here to stay for a few more years. Prospect these banks. Call, email, send post cards. Just like you would to a regular seller. We are sales people. Just look at your real estate license. Don’t lose heart. I have alot of valuable information on this site, free to you. Take advantage. Conferences are special. Not for the classes, but for the opportunity to NETWORK. Network, Network, Network. Here’s your homework: Watch all these videos and tell me what you learned:

TrustedLatino–Can you help us obtain REO Trashouts and Property Preservation orders in Central Florida, or direct us in the right direction, ie. direct lenders, REO companies, etc.? We prefer not to work with national servicers.

    • January 11, 2012 at 10:31 am

Hello Don, click on the “REO Events” tab. There are conventions for agents and vendors you can attend and get your name out there. The same way we go out and chase accounts, you as a vendor need to chase accounts. Also see the CHASE REO blog to learn how to apply…

I would encourange you to subscribe to my site. It’s free and always will be. We constantly upload information on “how to get a bank acct” – TrustedLatino
